Aggregator workstream continues
The publication of our Aggregator workstream results in November, based on our analysis of aggregator implementation models for Demand Response for Commercial and Industrial Prosumers, has received positive feedback. We are now taking a similar approach to Residential Prosumers. Aspects of this customer segment differ from C&I Prosumers as defined below:
- Amount of flexibility per asset is (much) smaller
- Consequently, the number of Prosumers needed to reach minimum flex product sizes is much higher
- Type of flexibility is mainly load-shift (EV, heat pump) with low marginal costs of activation
- Residential market is more regulated
Work on Residential Prosumers is underway. All existing input related to implementation models is being reconsidered and we have already concluded that there will be additional alternatives to the existing 6 models already assessed. These will likely be based on the Aggregator and BRP/Supplier agreeing day-ahead based upon Residential Prosumer reference profiles, with the Aggregator bearing full responsibility during the day of operation. We expect to publish the corresponding publication in Q2-2017.
