Demonstration project update – Hoog Dalem
Approximately 50 new homes in the Dutch district Hoog Dalem are using solar and battery technologies alongside smart energy applications to reduce peak load in a simulated grid environment. The project aims to prove the financial feasibility of the approach. Phase one successfully demonstrated in-home optimisation. The second phase, with results due in 2016, will see USEF applied to overrule the local control mechanism, extending optimisation to district level using a simulated shared battery.
