At Emart, a EUW17 co-located event, Frits Bliek, previous Design Lead & Product owner of USEF, will make his appearance in the EMART Energy HUB sessions on The Value Of Flexibility. He will host a panel discussion on the topic of Market Design of Flexibility markets.

Summit sessions – T&D The Intelligent Grid – The Smart Grid from the Customer Perspective – moderated by Jeroen Bode, with presentations of former board member Frits Verheij (How to Accelerate the Transition (9:40), DSO Workstream member Didier Halkin (Who pays the Bill – 10:20), and Design Lead Marten van der Laan on “Bridging the IT gap’ at 11:00.

The hub sessions – Energy Storage – The Future of the Energy Sector, feature an interesting talk by John Hodemaekers, chairman of USEF’s Executive Board. He will speak about In-Home Battery Systems in the USEF Controlled Micro Grid.

Debate with Frauke Thies and Jeroen Bode in the Energy Revolution Hub sessions. They will discuss the potential for demand response aggregation, the regulatory framework and overcoming barriers as well as technical challenges and solutions.

The Summit Session 11: From Smart Cities to Digital Urban Platforms, Bram Sieben will present Alliander’s work in acquiring flexibility from the market as a DSO.
