Supporting European harmonisation
Especially in the European context, we are often invited to present our framework and help further align discussions on flexibility deployment in line with the EU directive. On March 12thwe were asked to present our framework and our recent paper on Flexibility Market Platforms at the BRIDGE meeting. This European Commission initiative unites Horizon 2020 Smart Grid and Energy Storage Projects.
It aims to establish a structured understanding of issues that broadly block innovation across demonstration projects. As a valid and proven reference model, could elements of USEF be used as a
classification mechanism? Facilitation of standardization was also discussed at the Pentalateral Energy Forum on March 19th. In this policy-driven platform where governments, national regulatory authorities, grid operators and market parties discuss current topics related to energy market design and energy infrastructure, we presented the framework to help guide discussions on the development of flexibility markets.
